A prize- winning collection of short stories by new writers.
During Lock down we got busy and invited new writers from around the UK to shake of lockdown blues and get penning. Hi2020 was an open opportunity for unpublished new writers, in the finest tradition of English short-story authors, to try their hand at producing a series of 1500-word short stories.
The response was overwhelming. The 25 pre-judges and the 5 final expert judges made their selection from over thousands of entries, 20 of which are published here and a further 20 subsequently in the ‘Best of the Rest’ Volumes 3.
These winning stories here each provide a range of very intimate and unique views of personal lives, recollections and wild imaginings – from London suburbia to the edges of the Polar regions, Fantasy-land to Modern India.
Each 5-minute story is crafted with care and intensity, a distillation of the writers’ emotions and personal observations – brought together for your pleasure and amusement.

In order to be eligible for a refund, you have to return the product within 14 calendar days of your purchase. The product must be in the smart saleable condition that you receive it and undamaged in any way.
After we receive your item, our team of professionals will inspect it and process your refund. The money will be refunded to the original payment method you’ve used during the purchase. Paypal may take longer to process, which is outside our control. For credit card payments it may take 5 to 10 business days for a refund to show up on your credit card statement.
If the product is damaged in any way, or you have initiated the return after 14 calendar days have passed, you will not be eligible for a refund.
